Bring On 2015! All kinds of booking and planning happening here at NWSS Central and we are ecstatic share some of the amazing talent and other news on tap for this summer’s event! Our perennial musically gifted hosts Yonder Mountain String Band with Allie Kral and Jacob Jolliff will once again perform THREE incredible nights of music and will welcome many old friends and plenty of new friends at the 14th Northwest String Summit and will have tons of incredible surprises! Back for their seventh NWSS, our good buddies at Greensky Bluegrass for TWO nights this year which are sure to be off the chain! It has been six years since bluegrass legend, the Del McCoury Band, has graced our stage and we are so excited for their triumphant return! The McCourys are known for their stage prowess in many configurations, so why not add Keller Williams, another seventh year NWSS veteran, to perform with The Traveling McCourys! Some other talent we are thrilled to welcome back to main stage are our good friends thriving in the PDX music scene, Elephant Revival and Fruition, both for TWO sets of music and Town Mountain!
The Pacific Northwest has such diverse musical styles and taste that we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge and integrate some of those at the forefront of the movement of cultural awareness through music, and perfect crossover artists Nahko & Medicine For The People along with friends Rising Appalachia(Two Nights). If you are not already aware of these newcomers, do yourself a favor and check them out now! Their sets are guaranteed to mix it up and enhance your festival experience!
